REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR EASTERN KANSAS

EARLY THIS MORNING A COLD FRONT MOVED THROUGH EASTERN KANSAS WHICH
CHANGED THE WINDS TO THE NORTH AND FIRED OFF A FEW SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS...MAINLY OVER SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS.  NORTHEASTERLY
WINDS WERE BRIEFLY GUSTY BEHIND THE FRONT...BUT QUICKLY BECAME MUCH
LIGHTER AND AS THE SUN RISES THEY WILL BE NORTH TO NORTHWESTERLY
AROUND 5 TO 15 MPH.  MORNING LOWS WILL BE INT HE 30S AND 40S.

TODAY: TEMPERATURES WILL GENERALLY BE COOLER ACROSS THE REGION WITH
HIGHS IN THE 50S AND 60S FROM NEBRASKA TO OKLAHOMA.  SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER EXTREME SOUTHERN
KANSAS AND OKLAHOMA.  SOME STORMS ACROSS SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA MAY BE
STRONG TO SEVERE LATE THIS AFTERNOON.  WINDS WILL BE LIGHT AND
NORTHEASTERLY BECOMING EASTERLY TO SOUTHEASTERLY ACROSS THE AREA.

TONIGHT: LOWS WILL DROP DOWN INTO THE 30S AND 40S OVER NEBRASKA AND
KANSAS AND NORTHERN OKLAHOMA WITH 50S EXPECTED ACROSS SOUTHERN
OKLAHOMA.  SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO BE POSSIBLE
ACROSS OKLAHOMA AND ARKANSAS OVERNIGHT.  WINDS WILL STAY LIGHT AND
BE EAST TO SOUTHEASTERLY ACROSS THE AREA.
