AREAS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AFFECTED PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND
EASTERN KANSAS OVERNIGHT...AS A STRONG STORM SYSTEM MOVED OVER THE
HEARTLAND. ACTIVITY GRADUALLY WANED AS THE NIGHT PROGRESSED. PREDAWN
TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE 50S TO LOW 60S...WARMEST OVER SOUTHEAST
KANSAS.

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE TODAY OVER
MAINLY NORTHEAST KANSAS...EASTERN NEBRASKA...THE NORTHERN HALF OF
MISSOURI AND IOWA...AS THE STORM SYSTEM CONTINUES TO MOVE EAST.
HOWEVER...A FEW STRAY THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON
OVER PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS...AS A COLD FRONT
APPROACHES FROM THE NORTH. CONSEQUENTLY...A WIDE RANGE OF
TEMPERATURES WILL EXIST TODAY...WITH UPPER 50S OVER NORTHERN
MISSOURI AND FAR NORTHEAST KANSAS...TO LOW 80S OVER FAR SOUTHERN
KANSAS AND OKLAHOMA.

WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT
OVER PORTIONS OF WESTERN AND NORTHWEST KANSAS...AS A SUBTLE UPPER
LEVEL SYSTEM APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTHWEST. ADDITIONALLY...SKIES
WILL BECOME CLOUDY FOR MANY AREAS...WITH AREAS OF DRIZZLE AND FOG
GRADUALLY DEVELOPING OVER GENERALLY THE WESTERN HALF OF KANSAS.
OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES WILL DROP INTO THE 40S AND 50S.
