WIDESPREAD RAIN OCCURRED ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHWEST KANSAS TODAY,
PROVIDING SOME RELIEF TO THE DRY CONDITIONS. AMOUNTS FROM OVERNIGHT
THROUGH MID DAY TODAY WERE GENERALLY IN THE HALF INCH TO AN INCH.
SOME LIGHTER AMOUNTS WERE REPORTED IN THE SOUTHEASTERN PORTIONS OF
SOUTHWEST KANSAS. HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY RANGED FROM THE MID 50 TO
MID 60S IN EASTERN COLORADO AND WESTERN KANSAS, TO THE LOW 70S TO
LOW 80S IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN KANSAS.

AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE TROUGH WILL MOVE NORTHEAST ACROSS
WESTERN KANSAS OVERNIGHT, WITH ANOTHER UPPER LEVEL TROUGH
APPROACHING SOUTHWEST KANSAS TOMORROW EVENING. SURFACE LOW PRESSURE
TROUGHING IN EASTERN COLORADO WILL STRENGTHEN OVERNIGHT, AND EXPAND
INTO WESTERN KANSAS TOMORROW, WITH A DRY LINE DEVELOPING AND MOVING
EAST ACROSS SOUTHWEST KANSAS BY MID AFTERNOON. DIMINISHING SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT WILL REDEVELOP AGAIN TOMORROW, BUT WILL
AFFECT MAINLY THE EASTERN PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST KANSAS AND CENTRAL
KANSAS. SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN, LARGE
HAIL, DAMAGING WINDS, AND POSSIBLY TORNADOES BY TOMORROW EVENING.
SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE REQUIRED TOMORROW AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 40S TO MID 50S IN
EASTERN COLORADO THROUGH WESTERN KANSAS, WITH UPPER 50S TO LOW 60S
FROM CENTRAL THROUGH EASTERN KANSAS. HIGHS TOMORROW WILL REACH THE
LOW TO MID 70S FROM SOUTHERN NEBRASKA THROUGH NORTHERN KANSAS, WITH
UPPER 70S IN SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS, AND LOW 80S IN
SOUTHWEST KANSAS.
