TEXAS PANHANDLE KEPT RAIN SHOWERS GOING IN THE EAST...SNOW SHOWERS
ACROSS THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS. HEAVIER RAIN SHOWERS OCCURRED OVER
QUAY COUNTY WHERE TUCUMCARI RECEIVED 1.15 INCHES IN A 24 HOUR
PERIOD. OTHER DECENT 24 HOUR RAIN AMOUNTS WERE 0.98 INCHES NEAR
RIO RANCHO...0.91 NEAR MORIARTY...AND 0.42 FROM A STORM SPOTTER
WITHIN THE ABQ METRO AREA. SNOW REPORTS SO FAR RANGED FROM 3
INCHES NEAR RED RIVER AND SUGARITE TO A FOOT AT ANGEL FIRE VILLAGE
HALL AND 16 TO 18 INCHES NEAR BLACK LAKE.

WRAP AROUND ENERGY FROM THE UPPER LEVEL LOW LINGERING OVER THE TEXAS
PANHANDLE WILL AID IN AN CONTINUANCE OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SHOWERS
IN THE EAST...SNOW SHOWERS ALONG THE SANGRE DE CRISTOS AND RATON
PASS TO EAST CANYON WINDS WITHIN THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS. NORTHEAST
WINDS WILL BE GUSTY TO STRONG ACROSS THE EAST THIS AFTERNOON AS
WELL.  A FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP WEST OF THE
CENTRAL MOUNTAIN CHAIN THIS AFTERNOON.

RESIDUAL MOISTURE COULD FIRE UP A FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
OVER WESTERN AREAS TUESDAY. A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE
INTO THE REGION MIDWEEK BRINGING BACK WARMER TEMPS AND DRIER
CONDITIONS.
