WEATHER SUMMARY FOR PUERTO RICO

PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES PREVAILED ACROSS PUERTO RICO...VIEQUES AND
CULEBRA OVERNIGHT AND EARLY THIS MORNING. DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR
DETECTED ISOLATED TO SCATTERED SHOWERS OVER EASTERN PUERTO
RICO AND ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS. NOT SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION
WAS DETECTED ELSEWHERE OVER THE REGION SO FAR THIS MORNING.
TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM LOW 60S INLAND TO THE MID 70S ALONG THE
COASTS. WINDS WERE FROM THE EAST TO EAST SOUTHEAST AT AROUND 10
MPH.

ISOLATED TO SCATTERED PASSING SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE
EAST AND SOUTHEAST PORTIONS OF PUERTO RICO THIS MORNING. UNDER AND
EAST SOUTHEAST LOW LEVEL WINDS FLOW...THE RISK OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN HIGH ON THE NORTH COAST TODAY AND THEN
DIMINISH EARLY IN THE WEEK AS RIDGE STRENGTHENS FURTHER AND ACT
TO SUPPRESS THUNDERSTORM FORMATION. THE SOUTHEAST WIND FLOW WILL
ALSO PROMOTE HIGHER THAN NORMAL TEMPERATURES SPECIALLY OVER THE
NORTHERN COASTAL MUNICIPALITIES OF PUERTO RICO.

RELATIVELY QUIET MARINE CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TODAY WITH WINDS
UP TO 15 KNOTS AND SEAS OF 3 TO 6 FEET. SMALL CRAFT ARE URGED TO
EXERCISE CAUTION ACROSS THE OFFSHORE ATLANTIC WATERS.
