...INCREASED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON...

FOR THE LOWER MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE...NORTHWEST WINDS WILL
AVERAGE 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 TO 30 MPH FROM LATE THIS
MORNING THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON. AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITY
VALUES ARE EXPECTED TO BOTTOM OUT BETWEEN 25 AND 30 PERCENT. THE
COMBINATION OF THESE DRY AND BREEZY CONDITIONS IN TANDEM WITH DRY
FUEL MOISTURES WILL LEAD TO AN INCREASED FIRE DANGER THREAT.

RESIDENTS ARE URGED TO EXERCISE CAUTION HANDLING ANY POTENTIAL
IGNITION SOURCE...INCLUDING MACHINERY...CIGARETTES...AND MATCHES.
BE SURE TO PROPERLY DISCARD ALL SMOKING MATERIALS. ANY DRY GRASSES
AND TREE LITTER THAT IGNITE WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO SPREAD
