TENNESSEE WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE WEEK ENDING SUNDAY MAY 3 2015

THIS WEEK`S WEATHER WAS VERY QUIET OVER MUCH OF THE STATE. A COLD
FRONT MOVED THROUGH THE STATE ON THURSDAY BRINGING SOME LIGHT RAIN TO
EASTERN SECTIONS OF THE STATE. HIGH PRESSURE REMAINED IN CONTROL OF
THE WEATHER FOR MOST OF THE WEEK KEEPING MOST AREAS DRY.

OVERALL TEMPERATURES AVERAGED ABOUT 4 TO 6 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL OVER
THE ENTIRE STATE. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE OF THE WEEK WAS 82 DEGREES
WHICH OCCURRED IN MEMPHIS AND JACKSON ON SUNDAY. THE COLDEST
TEMPERATURE OF THE WEEK WAS 35 DEGREES WHICH OCCURRED IN BRISTOL ON
TUESDAY MORNING.

PRECIPITATION AVERAGED WELL BELOW NORMAL ACROSS ALL OF TENNESSEE.
BRISTOL HAD THE MOST PRECIPITATION THIS WEEK WITH 0.09 INCHES WITH
KNOXVILLE AND CHATTANOOGA PICKING UP 0.08 INCHES. MEMPHIS...DYERSBURG
JACKSON...CLARKSVILLE AND NASHVILLE DID NOT RECEIVE ANY RAIN THIS
WEEK.

THE OUTLOOK FOR MAY CALLS FOR NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND RAINFALL
OVER THE ENTIRE STATE.
