Mostly sunny skies and a light winds prevailed this afternoon with
high pressure anchored over central Illinois. Temperatures at 3 pm,
were in the middle to upper 60s.

High pressure over Illinois will drift into the Southeast States
Saturday, and continue fair weather over much of the region.
Warmer temperatures in the 70s and lower 80s are expected from this
weekend through next work week. A weak system will bring scattered
showers and isolated thunderstorms to Iowa, Wisconsin, northern
Missouri and the northern half of Illinois Saturday night. A
better chance of showers and thunderstorms will be over this area
Sunday night and Monday as a cold front pushes southeast into
northern Illinois.

Low temperatures tonight, will be in the 40s and lower 50s across the
region, with the coolest readings in eastern parts of Indiana and
Kentucky and northern and eastern Wisconsin.

High temperatures Saturday, will be in the 70s across the Midwest,
with cooler temperatures in 60s along the Great Lakes shoreline and
warmer lower 80s in northwest parts of Iowa and Wisconsin.
