Clear skies and warmer temperatures prevailed over central and
southeast Illinois overnight. Southerly winds held temperatures in
the upper 20s to lower 30s, prior to sunrise.
A frontal boundary will sweep across the Midwest today, bringing
brisk winds and scattered rain showers. Behind this weather
system, high pressure will move into the region, and produce a
substantial warming trend, through mid-week.
High temperatures today will range from the mid 40s in northern
Illinois, to the upper 60s in southern Missouri. Lows tonight will
drop into the 30s for much of the Midwest.
