FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
313 PM EDT SUN APR 26 2015

.DISCUSSION...A SLOW-MOVING COLD FRONT EXTENDING ACROSS THE
NORTHERN MIDLANDS EARLY THIS AFTERNOON WILL SINK FARTHER SOUTH
ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE REGION LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING. HIGH PRESSURE SUPPLYING COOL AND DRY WEATHER WILL BE
CENTERED WELL NORTHWEST OF THE AREA THROUGH MONDAY.

DIURNAL HEATING WILL PROVIDE ENOUGH INSTABILITY TO SUPPORT
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS LATE THIS AFTERNOON
THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING.

DISPERSION WILL BE POOR TONIGHT FOR THE NORTH AND CENTRAL MIDLANDS
AND FAIR ACROSS THE SOUTHERN MIDLANDS AND CSRA WITH THE SINKING
FRONTAL BOUNDARY. LOW-LEVEL DRYING AND WEAK MIXING WILL PRECLUDE
ANY FOG DEVELOPMENT OVERNIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING.

WINDS DURING THE DAY MONDAY WILL BE GENERALLY FROM THE NORTHWEST...
AT SPEEDS BY AFTERNOON OF 5 TO 10 MPH NEAR THE SURFACE AND 10 TO
15 MPH IN THE MIXING LAYER. MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL
AVERAGE AROUND 35 PERCENT.
