Ohio River Basin Hydrometeorological Discussion

High pressure is currently hanging over the Ohio Valley providing generally
dry weather. Showers and thunderstorms will return Saturday night
through Monday as a couple weather systems roll through. Much cooler air will
sweep through the basin for a few days this week after the main front pushes
...FLOOD POTENTIAL DISCUSSION...
Flooding continues in Kentucky, southern Indiana, and southern Illinois.
Moderate flooding is confined to one location on the Green River.
Additional minor flooding is possible in the western basin next week due to
a couple rainfall events late this weekend into early next week.
...24-HR OBSERVED PRECIPITATION USED IN TODAY`S RIVER FORECASTS...
Very little observed through the Ohio River forecast basin. A couple of tenths
fell in isolated areas of the far eastern basin. Otherwise zero.
...48-HR FORECAST PRECIPITATION USED IN TODAY`S RIVER FORECASTS...
Widespread precipitation is predicted in the Ohio valley over the next 48
hours...principally late Saturday and early Sunday. Upwards of an inch is
forecast for the central basin with half inch to three-quarters inch predicted
for most of the basin.
