FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in North
Dakota...
  Souris River near Foxholm affecting Ward County
  Souris River near Towner affecting McHenry County
  Souris River near Bantry affecting McHenry County
For the Souris River Basin including Foxholm...Towner...Bantry...
Minor flooding is occurring and is expected to continue.

.Increased outflow from Lake Darling to match the releases from
Canadian reservoirs continues to cause a rise on the Souris river
through North Dakota. Minor flooding is occurring or forecast
at Foxholm,Towner, and Bantry. At these river levels only minor impacts
to agriculture interests are felt and no community is at risk.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Do not drive into areas where water tops the
roadway. Turn around...Don`t drown.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Souris River near Foxholm.
* until further notice.
* At 11:15 AM Wednesday the stage was 12.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 12.3 feet by
  Monday early afternoon. Additional rises may be possible
  thereafter.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet...Rural flooding begins.

* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 53.4
  feet Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 53.0 feet...No significant flood problems.

* until further notice.
* At 11:00 AM Wednesday the stage was 11.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 11.2 feet by
  Saturday early afternoon. Additional rises may be possible
  thereafter.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet...Flood waters affect farmland or wooded areas
  in refuge. Due to relative flatness of the area within reach of the
  gage, a rather large area becomes flooded. Damage is to crops and
  farm buildings.
