FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EAST KENTUCKY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON KY
602 AM EDT TUE MAY 5 2015

.DISCUSSION...STRONG HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE PRIMARY
PLAYER. THE COMBINATION OF WARM TEMPERATURES AND DRY AIR WILL
ALLOW FOR RELATIVE HUMIDITIES TO BOTTOM OUT GENERALLY BETWEEN 30
AND 35 PERCENT FOR MOST LOCATIONS THIS AFTERNOON. WINDS ARE
EXPECTED TO BE RELATIVELY LIGHT...GENERALLY LESS THAN 5 MPH. DRY
WEATHER WILL PERSIST THROUGH MUCH OF THE THE WEEK...WITH
TEMPERATURES AND HUMIDITY GRADUALLY INCREASING EACH DAY. THERE IS
A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR A STRAY SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM OVER THE
FAR SOUTHEAST PORTION OF THE STATE BOTH THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
AFTERNOONS.
