FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NW OREGON AND SW WASHINGTON
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PORTLAND OR
904 AM PDT MON APR 27 2015

.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...AN UPPER RIDGE BUILDS TODAY FOR WARMER AND
DRIER CONDITIONS. A WEAK COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH TONIGHT AND A
WEAK MARINE PUSH WILL RESULT IN GOOD HUMIDITY RECOVERIES. WINDS
WILL REMAIN RELATIVELY LIGHT AS A COUPLE OF WEAK FRONTS MOVE
ACROSS THE DISTRICT TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. A FLAT UPPER RIDGE
WILL RESULT IN SLIGHT WARMING AND DRYING LATE IN THE WEEK.

.DISCUSSION...A BUILDING UPPER RIDGE HAS PUSHED A WEAK WARM FRONT
NORTH OF WASHINGTON EARLY THIS MORNING. CLEARING SKIES WILL RESULT
IN TEMPERATURES WARMING ABOVE SEASONAL NORMALS THIS AFTERNOON.
ONSHORE WINDS WILL PUSH MARINE AIR INLAND TONIGHT AND EXPECT GREAT
OVERNIGHT HUMIDITY RECOVERIES. A WEAK COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS
THE DISTRICT TUESDAY...BUT DO NOT EXPECT WETTING RAIN. AN UPPER
TROUGH WILL MOVE OVER TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING WITH TUESDAY
TEMPERATURES CLOSER TO SEASONAL NORMALS. ANOTHER WEAK FRONT IS
EXPECTED WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON OR EVENING. THE SURFACE PRESSURE
GRADIENTS REMAIN WEAK WITH THE FRONT PASSAGES AND THE SURFACE
WINDS WILL REMAIN LESS THAN 15 MPH THROUGH AT LEAST WEDNESDAY.
GRADUALLY DRIER AND WARMER WEATHER IS EXPECTED LATE IN THE WEEK AS
A FLAT UPPER RIDGE SETTLES OVER THE PACIFIC NW.
