CLEAR SKIES DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS ALLOWED TEMPERATURES TO
SETTLE INTO THE LOW 30S IN MOST LOCATIONS. THIS IS ABOUT 5 TO 10
DEGREES BELOW THE SEASONAL NORMAL. LOWS FOR THE 1ST OF APRIL
SHOULD BE AROUND 42 DEGREES. SKIES WERE CLOUD FREE TODAY AND BY
NOONTIME TEMPERATURES ROSE INTO THE MID AND UPPER 50S.
TEMPERATURES PEAKED IN MID AND UPPER 60S DURING THE LATE
AFTERNOON HOURS AND HIGH THIN CLOUDS COULD BE SEEN ON THE WESTERN
HORIZON. THESE CLOUDS ARE IN ADVANCE OF THE NEXT WEATHER SYSTEM.
SKIES ARE EXPECTED TO BE MOSTLY CLEAR AS WE MOVE INTO THE EVENING
HOURS WITH SUNSET TEMPERATURES IN THE MID AND UPPER 50S.

A WARMING TREND WILL CONTINUE FOR EASTERN KENTUCKY THROUGH THE
END OF THE WORK WEEK. HOWEVER... A SERIES OF DISTURBANCES WILL
BRING THE CHANCE FOR RAIN AND POSSIBLE THUNDERSTORMS TO THE REGION
BEGINNING THURSDAY AND LASTING THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT. THINGS
SHOULD DRY OUT ON SATURDAY MORNING...LEAVING COOL AND PLEASANT
WEATHER TO ENJOY OVER THE WEEKEND.

RECORD LOW TEMPERATURES FOR THE DATE. LOWS OF 37 DEGREES AT
APALACHICOLA FLORIDA...34 DEGREES AT JACKSONVILLE...30 DEGREES AT
MACON...GEORGIA AND 22 DEGREES AT KNOXVILLE...TENNESSEE WERE
RECORDS FOR APRIL.
