TODAY...SKIES RANGED FROM PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY EAST OF UNITED
STATES HIGHWAY 83...WITH MOSTLY CLEAR TO PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES WEST
OF THIS LINE. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME OF WHICH WERE
STRONG...PRODUCED SMALL HAIL AS LARGE AS NICKLES...AND MOVED
ACROSS THE EASTERN PANHANDLE DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING HOURS. HIGH TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE UPPER 50S OVER
NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...LOW 60S IN NORTHERN NEBRASKA...MID 60S
OVER THE SANDHILLS AND NORTHWESTERN NEBRASKA...TO THE UPPER 60S TO
LOW 70S OVER THE EASTERN PANHANDLE AND SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA.
WINDS WERE FROM THE NORTH DURING THE MORNING HOURS...BEFORE
TURNING TO THE EAST AT 10 TO 15 MILES PER HOUR AS AN AREA OF LOW
PRESSURE SLID OFF TO THE SOUTHEAST.

TONIGHT...AN UPPER LEVEL SYSTEM MOVING INTO THE FOUR CORNERS
REGION...WILL HELP TO SPREAD RAIN SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS
PORTIONS OF WESTERN NEBRASKA DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. THE BEST
CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ALONG AND
WEST OF NEBRASKA HIGHWAY 61 TONIGHT...WITH SOME SHOWERS MAKING IT
AS FAR EAST AS UNITED STATES HIGHWAY 83. IN ADDITION TO THE CHANCE
FOR PRECIPITATION...FOG IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AFTER MIDNIGHT
ALONG AND EAST OF UNITED STATES HIGHWAY 83. LOW TEMPERATURES WILL
FALL INTO THE LOW TO MID 40S...WITH SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS OF 10 TO
15 MILES PER HOUR.
