...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 04/09/15 TORNADO EVENT...

METEOROLOGISTS CONTINUE TO EXAMINE GROUND SURVEY...AERIAL
SURVEY...HIGH RESOLUTION SATELLITE AND RADAR DATA FROM THE APRIL
9TH TORNADO EVENT. ADDITIONAL SURVEYING ON TUESDAY APRIL 14TH
RESULTED IN ONE ADDITIONAL TORNADO TRACK IN MCHENRY COUNTY.
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS HAVE CONFIRMED SIX
TORNADOES ACROSS THE NWS CHICAGO COUNTY WARNING AREA...INCLUDING
THE LONG TRACK EF-4 FROM NORTHERN LEE COUNTY...THROUGH OGLE AND
DEKALB COUNTIES...AND ENDING IN FAR SOUTHERN BOONE COUNTY.

STORM CHASER VIDEO...CIVIL AIR PATROL AERIAL SURVEYS...AND GROUND
SURVEY INFORMATION RESULTED IN THE CONFIRMATION OF TWO SATELLITE
TORNADOES WHICH OCCURRED ADJACENT TO AND SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH THE
LONG TRACK EF-4 TORNADO. ONE SATELLITE TORNADO TRACK WAS NOTED
NEAR THE DEKALB COUNTY LINE IN FAR EASTERN OGLE COUNTY...AND THE
OTHER CROSSING THE DEKALB COUNTY LINE INTO FAR SOUTHERN BOONE
COUNTY.

THE TORNADO COUNT FROM THE APRIL 9TH EVENT FOR THE NWS CHICAGO
COUNTY WARNING AREA STANDS AS FOLLOWS...

PROPERTY ON MCGUIRE ROAD SOUTHEAST OF HARVARD THEN CAUSED MINOR
TREE DAMAGE ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE ROAD BEFORE ENDING.

TORNADOES INTO THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES.
