WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHICAGO/ROMEOVILLE IL
527 PM CDT FRI MAY 1 2015

AFTER A MOSTLY SUNNY DAY...CLOUDS HAD INCREASED FROM THE WEST
ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA IN THE AFTERNOON.
LATE AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE 60S IN THE OUTLYING AREAS
TO THE LOW 50S ALONG THE LAKEFRONT.

HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE REGION WILL SLOWLY MOVE SOUTHEAST TONIGHT
AND SATURDAY. INCREASING MID AND HIGH CLOUDS TONIGHT WITH LIGHT
SOUTHERLY FLOW WILL ALLOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT TO BE SEVERAL
DEGREES WARMER IN THE 40S. SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE ON
SATURDAY WHICH SHOULD BE SUFFICIENT TO PREVENT A LAKE BREEZE FROM
MOVING INLAND. MOST AREAS WILL EXPERIENCE EVEN WARMER TEMPERATURES
IN THE MIDDLE 70S WHICH SHOULD PUSH ALL THE WAY TO THE LAKEFRONT
AND THERE COULD BE A FEW UPPER 70S IN SOME LOCATIONS. THEN A WEAK
DISTURBANCE WILL MOVE ACROSS THE AREA LATE SATURDAY NIGHT INTO
SUNDAY MORNING. THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND STORMS. A
BETTER CHANCE WILL BE SUNDAY EVENING INTO MONDAY AS A COLD FRONT
MOVES SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE REGION.
