WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA

THE NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA REGION SAW THE CLOUDS
INCREASE IN COVERAGE DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. THIS CLOUD COVER
HELPED TO MAKE A WIDE VARIANCE IN THE TEMPERATURES...RANGING BY LATE
AFTERNOON FROM THE LOW 70S IN NORTHWEST AND PARTS OF NORTH CENTRAL
ILLINOIS...TO THE 60S FOR PARTS OF NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST
ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA...BUT ONLY IN THE UPPER 40S TO LOW
50S IN THE ILLINOIS COUNTIES NEAR LAKE MICHIGAN.

THIS EVENING...AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL BRING PARTS OF NORTH
CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND NORTHEAST ILLINOIS A FEW ISOLATED TO SCATTERED
SHOWERS ALONG WITH A VERY SLIGHT CHANCE FOR AN ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORM. THEN...OVERNIGHT INTO EARLY THURSDAY MORNING...THE
CHANCES OF SHOWERS WILL MOVE INTO EASTERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST
INDIANA.  THIS SYSTEM WILL BRING COOLER CONDITIONS THURSDAY UNDER
PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES. WITH HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE REGION...FRIDAY
WILL BE MOSTLY SUNNY...MILD AND DRY...THOUGH ONSHORE WINDS WILL
CONTINUE TO KEEP AREAS NEAR LAKE MICHIGAN COOLER THAN INLAND. THE
DRY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE FOR MOST OF SATURDAY ALONG WITH ABOVE
NORMAL TEMPERATURES. THEN LOW PRESSURE WILL BRING THE CHANCES OF
RAIN SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY AND MONDAY AS ABOVE NORMAL
TEMPERATURES CONTINUE.
