CLOUDY SKIES PREVAILED OVER NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST
INDIANA DURING THE MORNING. DRIZZLE OR LIGHT RAIN FELL IN SOME
AREAS. LATE MORNING TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE MID 40S. WINDS WERE
FROM THE WEST WITH OCCASIONAL GUSTS NEAR 35 MPH.

AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF THE DEPARTING
LOW WILL BRING A RETURN TO FAIRLY WIDESPREAD RAIN SHOWERS
LATE IN THE MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON...FOLLOWED BY DRYING
CONDITIONS DURING THE REMAINDER OF THE AFTERNOON. HIGHS THIS
AFTERNOON WILL BE MUCH COOLER IN THE MID 50S ALONG WITH STRONG
WESTERLY WINDS GUSTING UP TO 35 MPH. TUESDAY WILL BE SIMILAR TO
MONDAY IN TERMS OF TEMPERATURES AND STRONG WESTERLY WINDS...BUT
MUCH OF THE DAY WILL BE DRY EXCEPT FOR A CHANCE FOR ISOLATED
SHOWERS NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80 DURING THE AFTERNOON. AN EXPANSIVE
AREA OF COOL UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE WILL SET UP OVER THE GREAT
LAKES REGION THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE WORK WEEK...KEEPING
UNSEASONABLY CHILLY CONDITIONS IN PLACE...WITH HIGHS IN THE 50S
AND OVERNIGHT LOWS IN THE 30S.
