WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA

SKIES WERE PARTLY SUNNY ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST
INDIANA DURING THE MORNING HOURS AS THE CLOUDS INCREASED IN
COVERAGE. AREAS OF RAIN HAD PUSHED INTO PARTS OF CENTRAL AND EASTERN
ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA BY LATE MORNING. AS THE NOON HOUR
APPROACHED TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE UPPER 60S TO LOW 70 INLAND...BUT
ONLY IN THE MID TO UPPER 50S ALONG THE ILLINOIS SHORES OF LAKE
MICHIGAN. WINDS WERE FROM THE EAST TO SOUTHEAST AND GUSTING TO 25
MPH AT TIMES.

THE CLOUD COVER WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE AND LOWER AND THE RAIN
WILL MOVE NORTHWARD INTO THE REST OF THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON. THE
CLOUDS AND RAIN WILL DROP THE TEMPERATURES BACK INTO THE 50S INLAND
BY LATE AFTERNOON.

THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM BRINGING THE RAIN TO THE REGION WILL TRACK
INTO NORTHERN INDIANA BY THIS EVENING...CONTINUING THE PERIODS OF
RAIN SHOWERS. THE LOW WILL DRAG A COLD FRONT THROUGH THE REGION
OVERNIGHT BRINGING COLDER AIR. THUS ON MONDAY...WITH WINDY
CONDITIONS...HIGHS WILL ONLY REACH THE MID TO UPPER 50S AREA WIDE
ALONG WITH A CHANCE FOR MORE RAIN SHOWERS. THE REST OF THE WORK WEEK
WILL BE COOLER THAN AVERAGE...WITH PERIODIC LOW CHANCES FOR LIGHT
RAIN.
