WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA

PARTLY SUNNY TO CLOUDY SKIES WERE ACROSS NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND
NORTHWEST INDIANA IN THE LATE MORNING. MORNING LOWS WERE IN THE
MID 30S TO LOW 40S. LATE MORNING TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE MID
40S TO LOW 50S. WINDS WERE FROM THE NORTH TO NORTHEAST WITH
OCCASIONAL GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE OVER THE REGION IN THE
AFTERNOON...WHICH WILL BRING IN COLDER AIR. MOST OF THE AREA WILL
BE IN THE 50S THIS AFTERNOON AWAY FROM LAKE MICHIGAN. EVEN COOLER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED ALONG THE LAKESHORE. CLEAR SKIES AND LIGHT
WINDS ARE ANTICIPATED TONIGHT. THIS SHOULD RESULT IN A FAIRLY
CHILLY NIGHT ACROSS THE REGION...WITH TEMPERATURES LIKELY TO DROP
INTO THE 30S. FRIDAY WILL BE MOSTLY SUNNY...MILD AND DRY...THOUGH
ONSHORE WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP AREAS NEAR LAKE MICHIGAN
COOLER THAN INLAND. THE DRY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE FOR MOST OF
SATURDAY ALONG WITH ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES. THEN LOW PRESSURE
WILL BRING THE CHANCES OF RAIN SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY AND
MONDAY AS ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES CONTINUE.
