.SYNOPSIS...
ISSUED AT 317 AM CDT THU APR 2 2015

COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS IA TODAY AND BE SOUTH OF THE STATE
TONIGHT. A WAVE WILL MOVE NORTHEAST ALONG THE SLOWING FRONT
THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY...AFFECTING THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE
STATE. HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY.

ISSUED AT 317 AM CDT THU APR 2 2015

MAINLY STRATIFORM RAIN MOVING ACROSS CENTRAL IOWA THIS MORNING AND
SHOULD LINGER ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST NO LATER THAN 14Z. EVEN THE
LIGHTNING HAS DIMINISHED ACROSS MUCH OF THE STATE AND EXPECTING
THIS CLUSTER TO GRADUALLY FALL APART AS IT CONTINUES TO PUSH EAST.
WEAK CAA WILL DEVELOP LATER THIS MORNING AND PERSIST THROUGH THE
DAY. INCREASED WINDS OVER THE NORTH SLIGHTLY WITH THE SLIGHTLY
DEEPER MIXING DEVELOPING LATE THIS MORNING. NO MAJOR CHANGES TO
THE ONGOING TEMPERATURE FORECAST AS SEEMED IN LINE WITH THE CAA
AND CLEARING SKIES LATER TODAY.

.LONG TERM /TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
ISSUED AT 317 AM CDT THU APR 2 2015

CLEARING SKIES TONIGHT WILL BE SHORT LIVED AS THE EXPECTED WAVE
MOVES NORTHEAST ALONG THE FRONT TO THE SOUTH OF IA. THE WAVE WILL
BRING SOME LIGHT RAIN MAINLY TO THE SOUTH HALF OF THE STATE
FRIDAY. HIGH PRESSURE WILL PUSH THE FRONT SOUTH ON FRIDAY NIGHT
AND SATURDAY.

AS THE HIGH MOVES OFF...THE FRONT WILL LIFT NORTH AS A WARM FRONT
WITH SOME THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY OVER NORTHEAST IA LATE SUNDAY
NIGHT WITH THE RESUMPTION OF WAA AND THE LLJ. A GENERALLY
UNSETTLED PERIOD IS ON TAP HEADING INTO THE FIRST HALF OF NEXT
WEEK. THE UPPER LEVEL FLOW BECOMES SOUTHWEST WITH A SERIES OF
UPPER LEVEL SYSTEMS MOVING ACROSS THE REGION.

LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL PUSH THROUGH THE EASTERN
AND SOUTHERN TAF SITES THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. HAVE GONE
WITH MAINLY VCTS AS EXPECT STORMS TO WEAKEN WITH TIME. DRY AND VFR
CONDITIONS THEN EXPECTED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THURSDAY INTO
THURSDAY NIGHT. SOUTHERLY WINDS TO SHIFT AROUND TO THE NORTHWEST
BEHIND THE COLD FRONT AND LINE OF STORMS...WITH SOME GUSTINESS
POSSIBLE THURSDAY.
