...SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND NEAR NORMAL PRECIPITATION IN KOTZEBUE...
THE WEATHER OVER THE REGION WAS PRIMARILY DRIVEN BY A LONG WAVE TROUGH OVER MOST
OF ALASKA FOR A MAJORITY OF THE MONTH. THIS LEAD TO THE AREA EXPERIENCING
PRECIPITATION FOR HALF THE MONTH AS WELL AS SLIGHT ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES IN THE
MIDDLE AND LATTER PARTS OF THE MONTH.

TEMPERATURES...THE DAILY HIGH...LOW...AND AVERAGE TEMPERATURE ALL WERE AT OR JUST
SLIGHT THREE DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL FOR THE MONTH. THERE WAS ONLY ONE HIGH
TEMPERATURE RECORD TIED ON THE 19TH AT 32 DEGREES. NO RECORDS WERE BROKEN DURING
THE MONTH.

PRECIPITATION...THE AVERAGE PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH WAS JUST ONE ONE HUNDREDTH
OF AN INCH BELOW NORMAL FOR THE MONTH. THERE WAS ONLY ONE TIED RECORD FOR
PRECIPITATION SET ON 19TH OF THE MONTH. THE VILLAGE OBSERVED MULTIPLE
PRECIPITATION TYPES OF BOTH RAIN AND SNOW DURING THE MONTH.
