HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL FORECAST DISCUSSION

...PRECIPITATION...

SOME MUCH NEEDED STEADY RAINFALL OCCURRED OVER THE WESTERN HALF
OF THE NCRFC AREA IN THE PAST 24 HOURS. NEARLY ALL OF MISSOURI...
IOWA... MINNESOTA... AND THE DAKOTAS HAD SOME RAINFALL OCCUR.
SOUTHWEST IOWA HAD THE HIGHEST ACCUMULATIONS WITH MULTIPLE REPORTS
OF OVER 1.5 INCHES.  BEYOND THE SOUTHWEST.. A VAST MOJORITY OF
THE REST OF IOWA SAW 0.50-1.00 INCHES... WHILE THE REMAINING STATES
HAD ABOUT 0.20-0.50 INCHES OVER THEIR AREAS.

OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS... EASTERN PORTIONS OF MINNESOTA... IOWA.. AND
MISSOURI WILL HAVE AROUND ANOTHER 0.50 INCHES RAINFALL.  WHILE MOST OF
THE REMAINING EASTERN HALF OF THE NCRFC AREA (IL...WI... MI... IN)
WILL SEE AROUND 0.25-0.75 INCHES.


...HYDROLOGIC CONDITIONS...

ON THE SOURIS RIVER IN NORTH DAKOTA.. WATER LEVELS ARE FORECAST TO
EXCEED MODERATE FLOOD STAGE DURING THE NEXT WEEK AT A FEW
LOCATIONS DOWNSTREAM OF LAKE DARLING INCLUDING FOXHOLM.. TOWNER
AND BANTRY.

A FEW LOCATIONS IN WISCONSIN AND MICHIGAN REMAIN ABOVE FORECAST
ISSUANCE STAGE (FIS) FOLLOWING THE HEAVY RAINS SEVERAL DAYS AGO
BUT MOST ARE IN RECESSION.
