FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EASTERN/CENTRAL MO AND SOUTHWEST IL
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ST LOUIS MO
516 AM CDT WED APR 22 2015

.DISCUSSION...
TODAY WILL BE ANOTHER DAY WITH FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS. MINIMUM RELATIVE
HUMIDITY VALUES WILL DROP BELOW 30 PERCENT ONCE AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON.
NORTHWEST WINDS WILL PICK UP AND BECOME GUSTY BY LATE MORNING BUT SHOULD
NOT BE QUITE AS STRONG AS THE PAST TWO DAYS. THESE CONDITIONS WILL COMBINE
WITH 10 HOUR FUEL MOISTURE VALUES THAT ARE FORECAST TO DROP BELOW 10
PERCENT THIS AFTERNOON TO PRODUCE AN ELEVATED FIRE DANGER...PARTICULARLY
FOR AREAS NORTH OF INTERSTATE 70. HIGH PRESSURE WILL SETTLE OVERHEAD
TONIGHT PRODUCING LIGHT WINDS. CLEAR TO MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES OVERNIGHT WILL
HELP TEMPS DROP WELL INTO THE 30S AT MOST LOCATIONS SETTING THE STAGE FOR
PATCHY FROST TO DEVELOP. THE NEXT CHANCE FOR RAIN WILL BE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.
