.DISCUSSION...
THERE IS A HEIGHTENED FIRE DANGER TODAY ACROSS THE EASTERN HALF OF
MISSOURI AND ACROSS PARTS OF SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS. MINIMUM AFTERNOON
RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL FALL TO BETWEEN 25 AND 30 PERCENT. THEY
ARE NOT EXPECTED TO FALL MUCH FARTHER BECAUSE DEW POINTS WILL BE
INCREASING TODAY. SOUTHEAST WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND
20 MPH ARE ALSO EXPECTED TODAY. THE HIGHEST WINDS WILL OCCUR OVER
NORTHEAST MISSOURI AND WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS. TEN-HOUR FUEL MOISTURE
VALUES ARE FORECAST TO BE AROUND 7 TO 8 PERCENT.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO THE AREA LATE TONIGHT AND
TOMORROW. ANOTHER ROUND OF THUNDERSTORMS IS LIKELY ON THURSDAY
