...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

ONE MORE DAY OF ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES TODAY BEFORE AN AREA OF
LOW PRESSURE RETURNS SEASONAL CONDITIONS TO THE REGION MONDAY
THROUGH WEDNESDAY. THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT CHANCE OF AFTERNOON
THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE MOUNTAINS OF SOUTHERN NEVADA AND NORTHWEST
ARIZONA TODAY...THEN A MORE ACTIVE DAY IS EXPECTED MONDAY OVER MUCH
OF THE SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN AND MOJAVE DESERT. STRONG LOW PRESSURE
WILL BRING MUCH COOLER CONDITIONS TO THE REGION LATE IN THE WEEK.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

A WEAK LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OFF THE CALIFORNIA COAST WILL MOVE
INLAND THROUGH SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ON MONDAY. THIS WILL BRING
COOLING AND INCREASING HUMIDITIES AS THE MARINE LAYER DEEPENS AND
ONSHORE FLOW STRENGTHENS. THERE IS ALSO A SLIGHT CHANCE OF
AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING THUNDERSTORMS ON MONDAY...MAINLY FOR THE
MOUNTAINS. ONSHORE FLOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY AS A COLDER
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER THE GREAT BASIN BRINGS BELOW AVERAGE
TEMPERATURES FOR INLAND AREAS...GUSTY WEST WINDS IN THE MOUNTAINS
AND DESERTS...AND CHANCES FOR MAINLY LIGHT PRECIPITATION ALONG AND
WEST OF THE MOUNTAINS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. DRY AND A LITTLE WARMER
FOR SATURDAY UNDER WEAK HIGH PRESSURE.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

THE WEAK PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM THAT BROUGHT SHOWER/THUNDERSTORM
ACTIVITY TO SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA ON SATURDAY IS NOW MOVING OFF TO
THE EAST...WHICH SHOULD ANY LIMIT ANY CONVECTIVE ACTIVITY TODAY TO
THE HIGHER TERRAIN NORTH AND EAST OF PHOENIX. ANOTHER...STRONGER
STORM SYSTEM WILL THEN BE MOVING INTO THE REGION ON MONDAY. THIS
NEW STORM SYSTEM WILL LIKELY PRODUCE SCATTERED-NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA ON MONDAY...WITH LESS
ACTIVITY ELSEWHERE. SLIGHTLY COOLER TEMPERATURES CAN BE EXPECTED
TODAY...WITH MORE NOTICEABLE COOLING ON MONDAY.
