WISCONSIN WEATHER SUMMARY

.YESTERDAY...A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE OVER NORTHERN ILLINOIS KEPT
SOUTHERN WISCONSIN CLOUDY MOST OF THE DAY TUESDAY...WHILE MOSTLY TO
PARTLY SUNNY SKIES EXISTED OVER NORTHERN WISCONSIN. THIS TROUGH OF
LOW PRESSURE PRODUCED LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL OVER SOUTHERN
WISCONSIN...WITH SOME LOCATIONS SEEING BETWEEN A FEW TENTHS OF AN
INCH TO NEARLY THREE-QUARTERS OF AN INCH OF RAIN.

TEMPERATURES GREATLY VARIED ACROSS THE BADGERLAND...THANKS TO THE
PRECIPITATION AND CLOUD COVER OVER SOUTHERN WISCONSIN. HIGH
TEMPERATURES RANGED BETWEEN THE UPPER 60S TO LOWER 70S ACROSS THE
NORTHERN PART OF THE STATE...TO THE MID TO UPPER 50S ACROSS THE
SOUTHERN PART.

WINDS WERE MAINLY FROM THE EAST AND SOUTHEAST BETWEEN 5 AND 15 MILES
PER HOUR. WIND GUSTS REACHED UP TO 25 MILES PER HOUR IN SOME
LOCATIONS.

.OVERNIGHT...A FEW SHOWERS MOVED ACROSS THE STATE. SOME DENSE FOG
DEVELOPED IN SPOTS AS WELL. TEMPERATURES VARIED FROM NEAR 40 IN THE
FAR NORTHEAST TO THE MID 40S TO LOW 50S ELSEWHERE.

.FORECAST...A STATIONARY FRONT WILL START TO LIFT NORTH FROM
ILLINOIS AS A WARM FRONT TODAY AS IT WEAKENS. MEANWHILE WEAK HIGH
PRESSURE OVER THE UPPER GREAT LAKES WILL MOVE OFF TO THE EAST...AS
LOW PRESSURE GRADUALLY STRENGTHENS OVER THE PLAINS.

BY LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND THURSDAY...MUCH OF WISCONSIN WILL BE
BACK INTO THE WARMER AND MORE HUMID AIR. HOWEVER SOUTHEAST WINDS
WILL KEEP AREAS NEAR LAKE MICHIGAN COOL.

THE PLAINS LOW IS EXPECTED TO PUSH INTO NORTHERN MINNESOTA AND NORTH
OF LAKE SUPERIOR THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT. A TRAILING COLD
FRONT...BRINGING THUNDERSTORMS...WILL MOVE ACROSS MOST OF WISCONSIN
THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY...BEFORE STALLING ACROSS CENTRAL ILLINOIS
AND THE GREAT LAKES SATURDAY.

A STRONG LOW IS THEN EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS THE CENTRAL PLAINS
SUNDAY AND INTO WISCONSIN MONDAY...BRINGING MORE SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS.
