WISCONSIN WEATHER SUMMARY

.YESTERDAY...

SKIES WERE MOSTLY SUNNY IN NORTHERN WISCONSIN ON WEDNESDAY AND
PARTLY SUNNY IN THE SOUTH.  A SURGE OF COOLER AIR FROM THE NORTH SET
OFF A FEW LIGHT SHOWERS IN ABOUT THE SOUTHERN ONE THIRD OF WISCONSIN
DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON HOURS. THE SHOWERS MOVED SOUTH AND
DISSIPATED WEDNESDAY EVENING.

HIGH TEMPERATURES REACHED INTO THE 60S IN MOST AREAS BUT CONDITIONS
NEAR LAKE MICHIGAN WERE MUCH COOLER DUE TO A NORTHEAST WIND OFF OF
THE LAKE.  HIGH TEMPERATURES IN WISCONSIN ON MONDAY RANGED FROM 54
AT LAND O LAKES IN NORTHERN WISCONSIN TO 74 AT BOSCOBEL IN SOUTHWEST
WISCONSIN. THE NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURES FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR ARE
GENERALLY IN THE LOWER 60S.

WINDS ON WEDNESDAY WERE NORTH TO NORTHEAST AND INCREASED TO 10 TO 20
MILES AN HOUR IN THE AFTERNOON WITH SOME GUSTS TO AROUND 25 MILES AN
HOUR. STRONGER WINDS OCCURRED WITH SOME SHOWERS IN SOUTHERN
WISCONSIN AROUND 5 PM.

.OVERNIGHT...

SKIES WERE MOSTLY CLEAR DURING THE EVENING HOURS...WITH INCREASING
CLOUDS EAST OVERNIGHT AS LOW PRESSURE DROPPED SOUTHWARD THROUGH
THE GREAT LAKES. WINDS WERE LIGHT MOST PLACES THROUGH THE NIGHT.
LOW TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE LOW 30S NORTH-CENTRAL...TO THE
UPPER 30S AND LOW 40S WEST.

.FORECAST...

HIGH PRESSURE WILL BRING DRY WEATHER BACK TO THE STATE TODAY.
THERE MAY BE A FEW SHOWERS FRIDAY AS THE HIGH DEPARTS...BUT IT
WILL LIKELY REMAIN MOSTLY DRY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE THEN LIKELY AT TIMES FROM SUNDAY
THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK.

TEMPERATURES WILL BE NEAR NORMAL MOST PLACES TODAY...WARMING TO
WELL ABOVE NORMAL CONDITIONS BY THE WEEKEND. NEAR TO ABOVE NORMAL
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED FOR THE FIRST COUPLE DAYS OF NEXT WEEK.
COOLER TEMPERATURES ARE LIKELY NEAR LAKE MICHIGAN AND LAKE
SUPERIOR AT TIMES OVER THE NEXT WEEK.
