ALABAMA...SOUTHWEST ALABAMA...NORTHWEST FLORIDA AND SOUTHEAST
MISSISSIPPI.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A BREAK IN PRECIPITATION THIS MORNING...BUT SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
ARE EXPECTED TO REDEVELOP AND MOVE INTO THE REGION FROM THE WEST BY
THIS AFTERNOON. SOME OF THE STORMS...ESPECIALLY THOSE OVER THE
SOUTHERN HALF OF THE FORECAST AREA (CLOSER TO THE COAST) COULD BECOME
STRONG TO SEVERE...WITH DAMAGING WINDS BEING THE PRIMARY THREAT. SOME
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS ALSO POSSIBLE...BUT OVERALL TOTALS ARE
EXPECTED TO BE AROUND 1 INCH SO THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN
CANCELLED.

THERE IS A HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS AT AREA BEACHES TODAY.
