WEATHER SUMMARY FOR MINNESOTA

1201 PM CDT SAT MAY 2 2015

MID DAY SATURDAY... BROAD HIGH PRESSURE WAS LOCATED ACROSS THE
SOUTHEASTERN US AS A COLD FRONT MOVED INTO THE WESTERN
DAKOTAS. SOME EARLY MORNING FOG WAS PRESENT ACROSS MINNESOTA THIS
MORNING... BUT HAS SINCE DIMINISHED INTO MOSTLY SUNNY TO PARTLY
CLOUDY SKIES STATEWIDE. MORNING LOWS RANGED FROM THE MID 30S
ACROSS THE NORTH TO LOW 50S ACROSS THE SOUTH. TEMPERATURES HAVE
SINCE SKY ROCKETED TO THE 70S.

SUNSHINE WILL BE PREVALENT ACROSS THE STATE TODAY...ALONG WITH
WARMER TEMPERATURES.  HIGHS TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO WARM
THROUGH THE 70S NORTH TO THE LOWER 80S IN SOUTH.

A COLD FRONT IS FORECAST TO MOVE INTO NORTHWEST MINNESOTA LATE TONIGHT.
THIS WILL BE THE FOCUS OF SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS...WILL WILL AFFECT THE NORTH AND WEST. THE EAST
SHOULD REMAIN PARTLY CLOUDY...BUT DRY. LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE IN
THE 50S.

THE FRONT WILL MOVE INTO EAST MINNESOTA BY SUNDAY EVENING.
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE FRONT. THERE
MAY BE A FEW STRONG OR SEVERE STORMS IN THE AFTERNOON INTO EARLY
EVENING IN THE SOUTHEAST. HIGH TEMPERATURES ON SUNDAY SHOULD WARM
THROUGH THE LOWER 80S SOUTH OF THE FRONT WITH SOME UPPER 60S AND
70S NORTH OF THE FRONT.

MUCH OF THE WEEK WILL REMAIN ON THE WARM SIDE WITH A FEW CHANCES OF
SPRING LIKE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.  COOLER CONDITIONS WILL
ARRIVE FOR NEXT WEEKEND.
