DAYTIME HEATING THOUGH LIMITED WILL RESULT IN AN INCREASINGLY
UNSTABLE AIR MASS THAT WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS
SHOWERS ALONG WITH A FEW THUNDERSTORMS OVER CENTRAL...SOUTH-CENTRAL
AND MUCH OF WESTERN NEW MEXICO THROUGH MIDDAY. THROUGH 100 PM MDT...
FAVORED REGIONS FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL EXTEND FROM THE MIDDLE AND
LOWER RIO GRANDE VALLEY TO THE EAST SLOPES OF THE SANDIA AND MANZANO
MOUNTAINS...EAST TO NEAR CLINES CORNERS THEN SOUTHWARD TO THE
NORTHERN SACRAMENTO MOUNTAINS. ANY OF THE BETTER DEVELOPED
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF BRIEF BURSTS OF SMALL TO MODERATELY
SIZED HAIL...BRIEF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL AND WIND GUSTS BETWEEN
40 AND 50 MPH. STORMS WILL MOVE TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT 15 TO 25
MPH.  SNOW ACCUMULATIONS UP TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ABOVE  8500
FEET...THOUGH ROAD SURFACES SHOULD REMAIN MAINLY WET BELOW 9000 FEET

WIDESPREAD RAIN AND SNOW WILL CONTINUE OVER MUCH OF NORTHWEST
AND NORTH CENTRAL NEW MEXICO THROUGH MIDDAY. EVEN AN ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORM WILL DOT THE LANDSCAPE...MAINLY IN THE VICINITY OF
ESPANOLA...ABIQUIU...AND TAOS. THE PRECIPITATION WAS ENHANCED TO THE
NORTH OF A LOW PRESSURE CENTER ALOFT THAT WAS SLOWLY TRACKING
EASTWARD NEAR ALBUQUERQUE. WHILE SNOW WILL FALL DOWN TO THE VALLEY
FLOORS...SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE LIMITED TO THE HIGHER
TERRAIN GENERALLY ABOVE 8500 FEET WHERE ANOTHER UP TO 2 INCHES ARE
POSSIBLE.

ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS TO EASTERN NEW MEXICO AS THE
MIDDAY HOURS DRAW NEAR AND ESPECIALLY INTO EARLY AFTERNOON.  THE
FOCUS FOR STRONG TO POSSIBLY SEVERE STORMS WILL SET UP ACROSS THE
NORTHEAST PLAINS NEAR A WAVY FRONTAL BOUNDARY THAT WILL STRETCH
FROM NEAR CIMARRON TO NEAR LOGAN.
