...RED FLAG WARNING FROM 1 PM TO 8 PM MDT TODAY FOR THE PLAINS
EAST OF THE CENTRAL MOUNTAIN CHAIN DUE TO STRONG WINDS...LOW
HUMIDITY AND ABUNDANT INSTABILITY...

.A SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND BAJA STORM SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE
AREA TODAY AND INCREASE THE WINDS ALOFT. STRONGER WIND FLOWS
COUPLED WITH LOW HUMIDITY AND AN UNSTABLE ATMOSPHERE WILL IMPACT
THE EASTERN PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON TO EARLY EVENING. HIGH
TEMPERATURES WILL GENERALLY BE A FEW DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL ACROSS
THE EASTERN PLAINS. STRONGER WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY ARE FORECAST
ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE LOWER AND MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY...ALTHOUGH
TEMPERATURES WILL BE NEAR NORMAL AND CLOUD COVER WILL INCREASE LATER
IN THE DAY. THUS...THE WATCH FOR THAT AREA HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
