URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW AND FOG WILL RESULT IN HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT...

.A PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM WILL SLOWLY MOVE EAST ACROSS THE CENTRAL
AND SOUTHERN ROCKY MOUNTAINS THIS WEEKEND. AFTER A BREAK IN
PRECIPITATION EARLIER THIS MORNING...SNOW SHOWERS WILL INCREASE
IN COVERAGE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. A FEW ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS
ARE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AS WELL. SNOWLEVELS WILL REMAIN AROUND
8000 FEET...BUT WILL DROP TO 7000 FEET IN THE THUNDERSNOW SHOWERS
BRINGING PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW IN THE MOUNTAINS. SNOW
LEVELS WILL DROP TO BETWEEN 6000 AND 6500 FEET TONIGHT WITH LIGHT
SNOW CONTINUING THROUGH AROUND MIDNIGHT BEFORE TAPERING OFF
THROUGH EARLY MONDAY MORNING.

MONDAY...

* TIMING...PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY MONDAY
  MORNING.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...5 TO 10 INCHES ABOVE 7500 FEET.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...VISIBILITY WILL BE REDUCED BELOW ONE QUARTER
  MILE AT TIMES DUE TO MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW. IN ADDITION...AREAS
  OF FOG WILL LINGER BETWEEN PERIODS OF SNOWFALL ESPECIALLY NEAR
  THE SUMMIT ALONG INTERSTATE 80...RESULTING IN VISIBILITIES
  BELOW ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...REDUCED VISIBILITIES DUE TO A COMBINATION OF SNOW AND
  FOG WILL CREATE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ALONG THE INTERSTATE
  80 SUMMIT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT. ROADS MAY BECOME
  SLICK...SLUSHY...OR SNOW PACKED AT TIMES. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO
  USE CAUTION OR SEEK AN ALTERNATE ROUTE TODAY AND TONIGHT.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED
ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHEN APPROACHING
AND DRIVING OVER RAILROAD CROSSINGS.
