SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE TO THE EAST WILL BE SLOW TO EXIT THE AREA
OVER THE NEXT TWO DAYS. LOW PRESSURE IN THE UPPER LEVELS WITH A
WEAK REFLECTION AS THE SURFACE WILL MOVE SLOWLY THROUGH THE
CENTRAL U.S. THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

OVERCAST SKIES WILL PERSIST ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA
THROUGH TOMORROW MORNING AND THE GUSTY WINDS LOOK TO PERSIST OUT OF
THE SOUTHEAST THROUGH 00Z THURSDAY BEFORE SUBSIDING AS THEY DECOUPLE
AROUND SUNSET. LIGHT SHOWER ACTIVITY WILL QUICKLY DIMINISH ACROSS
THE WEST TO NORTHWEST WITH MUCH OF THE PRECIP REMAINING HIGHLY
ELEVATED AND BARELY REACHING THE SURFACE. FOR TEMPERATURES
TONIGHT...WENT FAIRLY CLOSE TO GUIDANCE FOR LOW TEMPERATURES
RESULTING IN NO MAJOR CHANGES WITH ONGOING FORECAST.

.LONG TERM /THURSDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
ISSUED AT 319 PM CDT WED APR 15 2015

HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO FEED DRY LOW LEVEL AIR INTO THE
STATE OVER THE NEXT TWO DAYS. THIS WILL KEEP THE SHOWER ACTIVITY
RESTRICTED TO THE FAR SOUTHWEST. WENT FOR LOWER DEW POINTS OVER
THE NORTH AND EAST...ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOON.

SYSTEM FROM THE SOUTHWEST WILL GRADUALLY MAKE PROGRESS EAST...BUT
ALSO WEAKEN...DURING THE NEXT FEW DAYS WITH THE CHANCE OF RAIN
OVERSPREADING THE STATE FOR THE WEEKEND. THE ECMWF IS MOST
AGGRESSIVE WITH THE COOLER AIR MOVING IN AS THE SURFACE LOW MOVES
ACROSS THE STATE SUNDAY AND MONDAY. TEMPS WILL BE WELL BELOW
NORMAL B7Y SUNDAY INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SOME
TIME. FREEZING TEMPS AREA LIKELY FOR TWO OR THREE MORNINGS...WHICH
WILL NEED TO BE WATCHED AS IT DRAWS CLOSER.

MAINLY VFR CIGS EXPECTED THROUGH THE FCST PD THOUGH SOME DEEPER
MOISTURE WILL MOVE IN OVERNIGHT WITH OVC CONDITIONS AROUND 4K FT.
SOME VERY LIGHT SHOWERS NOTED ON RADAR WILL SHIFT OUT OF THE
FORECAST AREA AROUND 03Z BUT CIGS ARE ALSO LOWER WITH THE
SPRINKLES/SHOWERS.  WINDS EXPECTED TO DECOUPLE BY 01Z AND REMAIN
LIGHT THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE FCST PD.
