EASTERN MAINE

MORNING SURFACE ANALYSIS IS SHOWING A WEAK AREA OF LOW PRESSURE
MOVING EAST NORTHEASTWARD FROM CENTRAL NEW ENGLAND. STRONG LOW
LEVEL INFLOW AHEAD OF THIS SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT
ORGANIZED AREAS OF PRECIPITATION INTO EARLY AFTERNOON FOR EASTERN
PORTIONS OF EASTERN MAINE. PW VALUES IN EXCESS OF AN
INCH--CORRESPONDING TO 2+ STANDARD DEVIATIONS ABOVE THE
MEAN---WILL SUPPORT POTENTIAL FOR A PERIOD OF MODERATE TO HEAVY
RAINS ALONG AND AHEAD OF THIS LOW AND ASSOCIATED FRONTAL BOUNDARY.
ISOLATED PRECIP TOTALS OF .50-1" POSSIBLE OVER A FEW HOURS
PERIOD---WHICH MAY PRODUCE ISOLATED RUNOFF ISSUES OVER PORTIONS OF
EASTERN MAINE WHERE THERE ARE SMALL AREAS OF RELATIVELY LOW FFG
VALUES.
