...WINTER MAKES A RETURN TO THE MOUNTAINS THIS WEEKEND...

AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE CURRENTLY APPROACHING THE PACIFIC
NORTHWEST COAST WILL DROP DOWN INTO THE GREAT BASIN SATURDAY. AS
IT DOES SO...PRECIPITATION WILL OVERSPREAD EASTERN UTAH AND
WESTERN COLORADO BRINGING RAINFALL AND THUNDERSTORMS TO MUCH OF
THE AREA. THIS PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.

AN ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT WILL ALSO MOVE THROUGH THE AREA SUNDAY
AND AS IT DOES SO...SNOW LEVELS WILL START TO DROP. THIS TIME
FRAME WILL ALSO COINCIDE WITH SOME OF THE HEAVIER PRECIPITATION
WHICH WILL CAUSE ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL FOR THE MOUNTAINS. THE
CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND SAN JUANS LOOK FAVORED AT THE MOMENT WITH
EARLY INDICATIONS OF 6 INCHES OF SNOW WITH LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. IF TRAVELLING OVER MOUNTAIN PASSES THIS
WEEKEND...PLAN AHEAD AND CHECK THE LATEST FORECAST BEFORE LEAVING.

ANY DEVIATION OF THE LOW PRESSURE TRACK FROM ITS CURRENT FORECAST
COURSE MAY DRAMATICALLY CHANGE HOW MUCH...WHERE...AND WHAT TYPE
PRECIPITATION FALLS. PLEASE STAY ABREAST OF CURRENT FORECAST
TRENDS BY MONITORING YOUR FAVORITE MEDIA OUTLET.
