...SHOWERS INCREASE TODAY THROUGH SUNDAY ACROSS EASTERN UTAH AND
WESTERN COLORADO...

A PROLONGED PERIOD OF WET WEATHER IS EXPECTED OVER EASTERN UTAH
AND WESTERN COLORADO BEGINNING TODAY AS TWO PACIFIC STORMS PASS
THROUGH THE REGION.

THE FIRST STORM WILL TRACK ACROSS ARIZONA AND NEW MEXICO TODAY.
THIS SYSTEM WILL BRING INCREASING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS
AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

A STRONGER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL STRENGTHEN OVER THE GREAT
BASIN AND DIVE SOUTH THROUGH EASTERN NEVADA AND WESTERN UTAH
SATURDAY...ARRIVING AT THE FOUR CORNERS SUNDAY MORNING. THE
ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION SATURDAY NIGHT
BRINGING WIDESPREAD SHOWERS...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...AND COOLER
TEMPERATURES. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED IN THE HIGHER
TERRAIN WITH THE SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS FAVORED TO RECEIVE SIGNIFICANT
ACCUMULATIONS OVER ITS HIGHEST ELEVATIONS. EARLY INDICATIONS SHOW
FROM 2 TO 6 INCHES OF WET SNOW POSSIBLE ABOVE 9500 FEET. VALLEY
RAIN AND MOUNTAIN SNOW SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH
MONDAY AND FOCUS NEAR THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE.

THERE IS STILL MUCH UNCERTAINTY ON THE TRACK OF THE UPPER LOW...
WHERE THE HEAVIEST SHOWERS WILL OCCUR...SNOW LEVELS AND
