WITH MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES AND DIMINISHING WINDS...LOWS TONIGHT WILL
RANGE FROM AROUND 50 IN THE IMMEDIATE NYC METRO AREA TO AROUND 40 IN
TYPICALLY COOLER LOCATIONS TO THE NORTH AND ACROSS EASTERN LONG
ISLAND. WEDNESDAY WILL BE ANOTHER MILD DAY...WITH TEMPERATURES IN
THE LOWER 70S AWAY FROM THE IMMEDIATE COASTLINE. A BACK DOOR COLD
FRONT WILL APPROACH EASTERN LONG ISLAND AND SOUTHEAST CONNECTICUT
LATE IN THE DAY...LEADING TO INCREASING CLOUDS AND A SLIGHT CHANCE
OF A SHOWER.

CLOUDS WILL BE ON THE INCREASE THROUGHOUT ON THURSDAY AS AN UPPER
LEVEL LOW SINKS SOUTH OUT OF THE GREAT LAKES...AND AN AREA OF
SURFACE LOW PRESSURE EMERGES OFF OF THE SOUTHEAST COAST. WHILE THE
LOW SHOULD STAY FAR ENOUGH OFFSHORE TO PRODUCE ONLY OCCASIONAL
SHOWERS ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY...THE INCREASED CLOUD COVER WILL LEAD
TO DAYTIME TEMPERATURES 5-10 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL.
