AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TUCSON AZ
910 PM MST THU APR 30 2015

.SYNOPSIS...WARM DAYTIME TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE INTO THE WEEKEND
WITH FRIDAY GENERALLY BEING THE WARMEST DAY FOR THIS SERIES. THERE
REMAINS JUST ENOUGH MOISTURE IN THE WHITE MOUNTAINS FOR A SLIGHT
CHANCE OF SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS ON FRIDAY WITH THE REST OF THE
AREA REMAINING DRY. THEN A WEAK PACIFIC STORM MAY BRING SOME
SHOWERS TO MOST OF THE AREA LATE MONDAY INTO TUESDAY.

&&

.DISCUSSION...UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OVER THE AREA WILL SHIFT OFF TO THE
EAST A BIT FRIDAY ALLOWING FOR ONE MORE WARM AFTERNOON WITH
TEMPERATURES SIMILAR TO WHAT OCCURRED THURSDAY AFTERNOON. DRY
CONDITIONS EXPECTED WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE WHITE MOUNTAINS WHERE
A COUPLE OF SHOWERS OR AN ISOLATED T-STORM COULD POP UP DURING THE
LATER AFTERNOON HOURS.

SW FLOW DEVELOPS OVER THE REGION THIS WEEKEND WHICH WILL ALLOW FOR A
SLOW COOLDOWN IN THE AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WITH A BIT OF AN
INCREASE IN MOISTURE. SO WILL LIKELY SEE A BIT OF CONVECTION OVER
THE WHITES AGAIN WITH AN OUTSIDE CHANCE OF SOME OVER THE EASTERN
MOUNTAINS OF COCHISE COUNTY.

THEN A SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE SW EARLY NEXT WEEK ALLOWING FOR
FURTHER COOLING AND A BIT OF A GREATER THREAT OF SHOWERS AREAWIDE
MONDAY INTO TUESDAY.  CERNIGLIA

&&

.AVIATION...VALID THRU 02/00Z. MOSTLY SKC WITH A FEW HIGH CLOUDS
THROUGH THE PERIOD AND A FEW CUMULUS CLOUDS FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
SURFACE WINDS WILL BE LIGHT AND DIURNAL...GENERALLY LESS THAN 10
KTS. AVIATION DISCUSSION NOT UPDATED FOR TAF AMENDMENTS.

&&

.FIRE WEATHER...ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND MORE TYPICAL DIURNALLY
DRIVEN WINDS THROUGH THE WEEKEND WITH A BIT OF AN LATE AFTERNOON
ENHANCEMENT SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. DRY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED FOR
MOST OF THE AREA WITH MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES IN THE TEENS
AND SINGLE DIGITS AGAIN FRIDAY. THESE VALUES WILL RISE MODESTLY
THIS WEEKEND AND EARLY NEXT WEEK. THERE WILL BE JUST ENOUGH
MOISTURE FOR A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EACH
AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS WEEKEND ACROSS THE WHITE MOUNTAINS. A
WEATHER SYSTEM MONDAY INTO TUESDAY WILL RESULT IN A SLIGHT CHANCE OF
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR AREAS MAINLY FROM TUCSON NORTH AND
EAST.

&&

.TWC WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES...NONE.
