SCATTERED SHOWERS...AND POSSIBLE TSTMS WILL LINGER MAINLY OVER THE
AREA THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT. THE ARRIVAL OF TRADE-WINDS HAS BEEN HOLD
OFF UNTIL MONDAY AS THE DEVELOPING HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM SLOWLY ASCENDS
FROM NEAR NEW ZEALAND DURING SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING. THUS...LOCAL
WINDS WILL PICK UP A NOTCH TO NEAR 10 TO 15 KT ON MONDAY. AS A RESULT...
ANTICIPATE RELATIVELY DRY WEATHER CONDITIONS EXCEPT FOR AFTERNOON SCATTERED

FOR AMERICAN SAMOA...THE TRADE-WIND REGIME IS EXPECTED TO TRIUMPH OVER
THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. THIS SEASONAL WEATHER PATTERN WILL ALLOW SCATTERED
TRADE-WIND SHOWERS AND INCREASING CLOUDINESS TO ADVANCE TOWARD THE
SAMOAN ISLANDS. FOR NOW...WILL MONITOR THIS SITUATION BEFORE MAKING
NEW UPDATES THUS WILL KEEP THE SHOWER COVERAGE THE SAME FROM THE

WAVE WATCH MODEL SHOWS HAZARDOUS SURFS OF 12 TO 15 FEET WILL PEAK
TO NEAR 17 FEET UNTIL SUNDAY EVENING. THESE SWELLS WILL GRADUALLY
SUBSIDE TO NEAR 5 TO 7 FT TUESDAY NIGHT. HENCE...HAVE ISSUED A
HIGH SURF WARNING FOR SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST REEFS...AND A HIGH SURF
