FLOOD STATEMENT
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDIANAPOLIS IN

...A Flood Warning continues for portions of the following rivers
and creeks in Indiana...

  Mill Creek...Muscatatuck River...Wabash River...White River...



.Lowland flooding and bank full conditions will return to rivers in
southern Indiana.  Significant flooding is not expected. Flooding
will once again affect a few local and state roads...low agricultural
land and river parks previously flooded this month.

Much of central and southern Indiana received 1 to 2 inches of rain
since Sunday morning.  Little rainfall is expected through Friday.
Most locations will crest or be near crest by Sunday.


Precautionary and Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.

* At 9:30 PM Monday the stage was 13.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow morning and continue
  to rise to near 15.3 feet by tomorrow late morning. The river
will
  fall below flood stage by tomorrow afternoon.
* At 15.0 feet...Mill Creek at flood stage.  Camp Otto Road begins to
  flood.  Low pasture land along Mill Creek begin to flood.

* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 18.5
  feet Thursday early afternoon.
* At 18.0 feet...Floods area in a few low spots and woodland areas
  along the river.  Residential property is not directly at this
  point.

* At 9:30 PM Monday the stage was 12.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow afternoon and
  continue to rise to near 14.3 feet by early Wednesday morning.
  The river will fall below flood stage by early Thursday morning.
* At 14.0 feet...Lowland flooding begins in the Spencer and Gosport
  areas.  The river begins to backup Rattlesnake, Fall, McCormicks,
  Limestone, Big and Bean Blossom Creeks.  Spencer Public Access site
  begins to flood.

  below flood stage by late Saturday morning.
* At 21.0 feet...Eastern portion of Greene CR 100 S floods leading to
  Plummer.  Flooding covers all low bottomlands

* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 14.8 feet by
  Wednesday evening. The river will fall below flood stage Friday
  afternoon.
* At 15.0 feet...Most lowlands flood.  A few inches of water on County
  Road 600W just north of the river in Mary Long Cutoff Area.

* until Monday April 27.
* At 7:00 PM Monday the stage was 16.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 18.3 feet by
  Thursday early afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage
  Sunday early afternoon.
* At 18.0 feet...Old Vincennes Road and State Road 358 in Daviess
  County and Schaefer Road in Knox County are impassable.  High water
  affects agricultural bottomlands.  During agricultural season this
  level is of concern to farmers on the unprotected areas along the
  river.  High water affects river cabins.

* At 9:30 PM Monday the stage was 16.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 18.9 feet by
  Saturday evening. The river will fall below flood stage Monday
  evening.
* At 19.0 feet...Low bottomlands flood and flooding begins on higher
  bottomlands.  State Road 257 may begin to flood if Shoals gage
  reading is over 17 feet.  Private levees may be overtopped in many
  cases.

* At 9:45 PM Monday the stage was 10.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by late Wednesday morning and
  continue to rise to near 14.8 feet by Thursday morning. The river
  will fall below flood stage by Thursday before midnight.
* At 14.0 feet...Several hundred acres of bottomlands along the right
  bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge of Montezuma
  begin to flood.

* At 10:00 PM Monday the stage was 8.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Thursday morning and continue
  to rise to near 14.4 feet by early Friday morning. The river will
  fall below flood stage by Friday afternoon.
* At 14.0 feet...Flood waters begin to enter the two breaks in the
  Honey Creek Levee maintained by the Honey Creek Levee Association.
  These two breaks occurred during the April 2013 flood.

* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 16.7
  feet Friday early afternoon.
* At 16.0 feet...Old Darwin Road and a few low rural roads between
  York and Hutsonville, Illinois begin to flood.  Agricultural
  flooding begins along portions of the river.

* from late Thursday night to Saturday evening.
* At 10:00 PM Monday the stage was 11.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by early Friday morning and
  continue to rise to near 15.1 feet by early Saturday morning. The
  river will fall below flood stage by late Saturday morning.
* At 16.0 feet...Some agricultural lands underwater.  A few rural
  roads in Crawford County, Illinois close as water backs up Minnow
  slough.  High water affects campground at Leaverton Park in
  Palestine.  A few private roads near the Gill Township levee in
  Sullivan County may flood.  Water level is at the top of most
  makeshift levees.
