FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
452 AM EDT TUE MAY 5 2015

...DRY AND WARM WEATHER CONTINUES TODAY...

.DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE EXITING TO THE EAST WILL RESULT IN
WARM AND SUNNY WEATHER TODAY. MOSTLY DRY CONDITIONS SHOULD
PERSIST INTO THURSDAY MORNING BEFORE AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT
RESULTS IN INCREASING CHANCES OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM
WEST TO EAST THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. WARM AND
BREEZY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA...ESPECIALLY
THE WEST ON THURSDAY...BUT MINIMUM RH VALUES IN THE UPPER 30S
SHOULD PARTIALLY MITIGATE FIRE CONCERNS. HOWEVER...THE WARMER AND
GUSTY WEATHER WILL BE FOCUSED ACROSS AREAS THAT MISSED OUT ON
MOST OF THIS PAST SATURDAYS RAIN. AFTER THE COLD FRONT CLEARS
UPPER MICHIGAN FRIDAY AFTERNOON...MUCH COOLER CONDITIONS WITH
SMALL CHANCES OF RAIN ARE EXPECTED FOR THE WEEKEND.
