.DISCUSSION...
MAINLY A PERSISTENCE FORECAST TODAY AS WEAK HIGH PRESSURE REMAINS
SANDWICHED ACROSS THE AREA BETWEEN MARITIME LOW PRESSURE AND
ADDITIONAL UPPER ENERGY DROPPING SOUTH ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES.
ONCE AGAIN WE`LL BE LOOKING AT VARIABLE CLOUD COVER TODAY, MOST
PREVALENT ACROSS VERMONT. HOWEVER AT LEAST SOME PARTIAL SUN IS
EXPECTED IN MANY AREAS TODAY, ESPECIALLY FROM THE CHAMPLAIN
VALLEY WEST AS WINDS REMAIN NORTH TO NORTHEASTERLY IN THE 5 TO
15 MPH RANGE. BOUNDARY LAYER MIXING WILL DEEPEN TO IN EXCESS OF
5000 FEET BY AFTERNOON WHICH SHOULD FOSTER AT LEAST SOME NOMINAL
GUSTINESS TO 20 MPH OR SO BEFORE ABATING FROM SUNSET ONWARD.
OUTSIDE A STRAY SPRINKLE ACROSS THE EASTERN HIGHER TERRAIN NO
PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TODAY. THIS WILL ALLOW CONTINUED
DRYING OF FINE DEAL FUELS THIS AFTERNOON.
