TODAY...SHOWERS AND EVEN A FEW ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WERE COMMON
ALONG AND SOUTH OF A BIG SPRINGS...TO ARTHUR...TO BREWSTER...TO
BARTLETT LINE DURING THE LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON HOURS.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS ACROSS THIS REGION GENERALLY RANGED FROM A
QUARTER OF AN INCH TO A HALF OF AN INCH...WITH EVEN SOME HIGHER
LOCALIZED AMOUNTS UNDER THE HEAVIEST SHOWERS. HIGH TEMPERATURES
WERE WELL BELOW AVERAGE FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR THANKS IN PART
TO THE EXPANSIVE CLOUD COVER OVER SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA...EASTERN
PANHANDLE...AND THE SANDHILLS...WHERE HIGHS ONLY REACHED INTO
THE MID 50S TO LOW 60S. FURTHER TO THE NORTH ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL
NEBRASKA...SOME PEAKS OF SUNSHINE ALLOWED TEMPERATURES TO WARM
INTO THE MID 60S TO LOW 70S EARLY THIS AFTERNOON...BEFORE MORE CLOUDS
PUSHED INTO THE REGION DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON.

TONIGHT...SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS
MUCH OF WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA THIS EVENING AND
OVERNIGHT. WHILE INSTABILITY IN THE ATMOSPHERE IS WEAK...A FEW
LIGHTNING STRIKES ARE STILL POSSIBLE THIS EVENING ACROSS PORTIONS
OF THE SANDHILLS AND SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA. LOW TEMPERATURES
TONIGHT WILL FALL INTO THE MID 40S TO LOW 50S.
