WIDESPREAD RAIN SHOWERS AND HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW SHOWERS ALONG
WITH THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED OVER THE LAND OF ENCHANTMENT TODAY
AS A STRONG STORM SYSTEM MOVES OVER THE REGION. SKIES ARE MOSTLY
CLOUDY TO CLOUDY THIS MORNING WITH GUSTY WINDS BEING REPORTED
MOSTLY OVER THE WESTERN HIGHLANDS AND SOUTHWEST MOUNTAINS ACROSS
SOUTHERN AREAS INCLUDING THE LOWER RIO GRANDE RIVER VALLEY AND
UPPER TULAROSA VALLEY AND HIGHER ELEVATIONS IN THE SOUTH. RAIN
ACCUMULATIONS OVERNIGHT WERE MOSTLY LIGHT BUT A FEW STATIONS
REPORTED MODERATE RAINFALL. SNOW HAS ALSO BEEN REPORTED OVER A
FEW LOCATIONS OVER THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS WITH ACCUMULATIONS OF
UP TO AN INCH REPORTED. OVERNIGHT LOWS RANGED FROM THE UPPER 20S
OVER HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS TO THE 30S OVER
THE WESTERN HIGHLANDS AND SOUTHWEST MOUNTAINS AND OVER THE NORTHEAST
AND SOUTH CENTRAL HIGHLANDS. OVERNIGHT LOWS OVER THE SAN JUAN
BASIN AND THE LOWER RIO GRANDE RIVER VALLEY AND THE EASTERN PLAINS
WERE IN THE 40S TO LOWER 50S. AFTERNOON HIGHS TODAY WILL RANGE
FROM THE UPPER 30S TO 40S OVER HIGHER ELEVATIONS TO THE MID 60S TO
MID 70S OVER THE EASTERN PLAINS. AFTERNOON HIGHS ELSEWHERE WILL
RANGE FROM THE UPPER 40S TO LOWER 60S.

CONTINUED MOSTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY SKIES FOR TONIGHT WITH SCATTERED
RAIN SHOWERS AND HIGHER ELEVATION SNOW SHOWERS ALONG WITH POSSIBLE
THUNDERSTORMS. NORTHEAST FLOW ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE STORM SYSTEM
WILL DRAW IN COLDER AIR TONIGHT OVER THE EASTERN PLAINS. HEAVY UP SLOPE
PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TONIGHT OVER THE NORTHEAST WITH SNOW LEVELS
FALLING TO AROUND 6500 FEET OR SO TONIGHT FROM THE EAST SLOPES OF
THE NORTHERN SANGRES EAST TO THE NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS AND NORTHEAST
PLAINS. HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE LIKELY ACROSS THE SANGRE DE
CRISTOS AND EAST ACROSS WESTERN PORTIONS OF THE NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS
NEAR THE COLORADO BORDER INCLUDING RATON PASS TONIGHT AND MONDAY
MORNING. OVERNIGHT LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER 20S OVER
THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS IN THE NORTH TO THE 40S OVER THE EAST TO
SOUTHEAST PLAINS AND THE LOWER RIO GRANDE RIVER VALLEY. ELSEWHERE
NIGHTTIME LOWS WILL BE IN THE 30S. GRADUALLY IMPROVING CONDITIONS
ARE IN STORE FOR LATE MONDAY AS THE STORM SYSTEM MOVES EAST INTO
THE TEXAS PANHANDLE. ENOUGH WRAP AROUND MOISTURE WITH THIS SYSTEM
WILL KEEP SKIES MOSTLY CLOUDY INTO MONDAY EVENING WITH CONTINUED
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND POSSIBLE THUNDERSTORMS. AFTERNOON HIGH
TEMPERATURES ON MONDAY WILL BE WARMER IN THE WEST AND COOLER IN
THE EAST.
