A COLD FRONT WILL BE THE FOCUS FOR THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT THIS
AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT ACROSS THE REGION.  THE FRONT IS FORECAST TO
EXTEND FROM MINNESOTA INTO NORTHEAST NEBRASKA AND WESTERN KANSAS AT
MID AFTERNOON...WITH THUNDERSTORMS FIRST DEVELOPING ALONG THE FRONT
BETWEEN 4 AND 6 PM FROM MINNESOTA INTO NORTHEAST NEBRASKA. CONTINUED
DEVELOPMENT OF STORMS IS EXPECTED THROUGH THE EVENING...WITH
THUNDERSTORMS LIKELY ACROSS MOST OF IOWA...NEBRASKA AND KANSAS. THE
STORMS WILL ONLY SLOWLY MOVE OFF TO THE SOUTHEAST
OVERNIGHT...AFFECTING MUCH OF NORTHERN MISSOURI. SOME SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS ARE
POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. AREAS OF HEAVY
RAIN ARE ALSO POSSIBLE IN IOWA AND EASTERN NEBRASKA...INTO PARTS OF
NORTHERN KANSAS AND MISSOURI...WHERE OVER AN INCH OF RAINFALL COULD
FALL.

HIGH TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON WILL RANGE FROM THE 60S IN WESTERN
NEBRASKA BEHIND THE FRONT...WITH 80S ACROSS MUCH OF
KANSAS...MISSOURI AND EASTERN NEBRASKA AHEAD OF THE FRONT. OVERNIGHT
LOWS WILL FALL BACK INTO THE 30S IN WESTERN NEBRASKA...BUT REMAIN IN
THE 50S OR 60S IN MISSOURI.
