...MARCH WAS NEAR NORMAL IN TEMPERATURE AND RAINFALL AT NASHVILLE...

THE TEMPERATURE IN NASHVILLE AVERAGED 50.6 DEGREES IN MARCH WHICH
IS 0.6 DEGREE ABOVE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH WAS 62.1 DEGREES AND
THE AVERAGE LOW WAS 39.1 DEGREES. THE WARMEST TEMPERATURE WAS 82
DEGREES ON THE 31ST AND THE COLDEST WAS 9 DEGREES ON THE 6TH. A
NEW RECORD LOW WAS SET ON MARCH 6TH WHEN THE TEMPERATURE FELL TO 9
DEGREES ABOVE ZERO. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 12 DEGREES SET BACK IN
1960. THERE WAS 1 DAY WITH THE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE BELOW 32
DEGREES AND 8 DAYS WITH MINIMUM TEMPERATURE AT OR BELOW FREEZING.

RAINFALL TOTALED 4.29 INCHES WHICH IS 0.18 INCH ABOVE NORMAL. THE
GREATEST RAINFALL IN 24 HOURS WAS 1.50 INCHES ON THE 4TH. THERE
WERE NO CALENDAR DAY RAINFALL RECORDS SET IN MARCH.

SNOWFALL TOTALED 2.9 INCHES FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH FALLING ON THE
5TH. THIS WAS THE MOST SNOW TO FALL IN MARCH IN NASHVILLE SINCE
1996 WHEN 9.3 INCHES FELL.

NO THUNDERSTORMS OCCURRED IN MARCH. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I
CAN RECALL NOT HAVING A THUNDERSTORM AT NASHVILLE IN THE FIRST
THREE MONTHS OF A NEW YEAR. THE LAST TIME NASHVILLE HAD A
THUNDERSTORM WAS ON DECEMBER 6TH 2014.

THE AVERAGE WIND SPEED WAS 6.5 MILES AN HOUR. THE FASTEST GUST WAS
37 MILES AN HOUR FROM THE NORTHEAST ON THE 20TH.

FOG OCCURRED ON 18 DAYS WITH 5 DAYS OF DENSE FOG.
