.SHORT TERM...(TODAY THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT)
ISSUED AT 133 AM CDT FRI MAY 1 2015

THE SHORT TERM WILL SEE THE LOW DEPART THE COMMONWEALTH AND HEAD
TO THE MID ATLANTIC. H5 HEIGHTS RISE ALMOST 10 DM BY 12Z
SATURDAY...WHICH HOLDS ITS HIGH PRESSURE AND RIDGES THRU THE
WEEKEND. THIS SHOULD SUPPRESS ANY RELATED/NEARBY POPS CONTAINED
AROUND THE RIM OF THE UPPER HIGH THAT DEVELOPS ACROSS THE LOWER MS
VALLEY WITH TIME. THE NET RESULT WILL BE CONTINUED DRY WEATHER
WITH MOSTLY SUN/MIXED WITH CLOUD AT TIMES AND GRADUALLY WARMING
TEMPS. HIGHS IN THE 60S(NR70)/40S(NR50) TODAY WILL WARM THRU THE
70S/50S TMRW AND REACH TO NR 80/NR 60 BY SUNDAY.

.LONG TERM...(MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY)
ISSUED AT 133 AM CDT FRI MAY 1 2015

BROAD HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT OVER THE SOUTHERN U.S. WILL BEGIN THE
LONG TERM PERIOD OF THE FORECAST. A FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL DROP SOUTH
INTO THE OHIO VALLEY MIDWAY THRU THE LONG TERM...AND FALLING
HEIGHTS IN THE PLAINS WILL AMPLIFY THE TELECONNECTED RIDGE.
STILL...ENOUGH OF A GLANCING BLOW OF POPS WILL INTRODUCE THEIR
MENTION BY TUE/WED...AND THEN START TO RAMP UP LATER IN THE WEEK
AS THE HEIGHT FALLS TO THE WEST REPLACE THE DAMPENING HIGH FURTHER
EAST. THIS MEANS FAIRLY HIGH POPS ENTER THE FORECAST PICTURE AS
THE WEEK WEARS ON/BY THE END OF THE LONG TERM FORECAST PERIOD.

SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS OUR REGION THIS
AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...BRINGING DRY AIR. HIGH CIRRUS CLOUDINESS
WILL INCREASE LATE TONIGHT...AND CIGS AROUND 20K FEET ARE LIKELY ON
SAT MORNING. NORTH WINDS HAVE BEEN A LITTLE GUSTY IN THE KEVV/KOWB
AREA TODAY...BUT THEY SHOULD DIMINISH THIS AFTERNOON AS HIGH
PRESSURE APPROACHES.
